Charleston… probably one of THE most beautiful places I have ever been and get excited about each time I go! This past weekend, I had the pleasure of traveling with four other local bloggers for a fun girl’s weekend out! Shelby from Pretty in the Pines, Molly of Molly Musings and Marianne of M.A. Times and I spent a weekend in the most awesome hotel imaginable, The Belmond Charleston Place. We also had an amazing photographer along for the ride, Ryan Sides of Ryan Sides Photos and all pictures you see here were taken by him!
I have been to Charleston only 4 times in my life and half of those times I have stayed at the most amazing hotel ever, The Belmond Charleston Place Hotel!! Can we just take a minute for the entrance and that magnificent chandelier?!?!? The Belmond Charleston Place Hotel is a luxury hotel and spa centrally located in the heart of downtown! The hotel offers a rooftop pool, dining in their award winning Charleston Grill and exclusive boutique shopping. As pictured above, the pool is an island oasis featuring a retractable glass roof and is a MUST SEE even if you aren’t able to lounge by it all day. Along with the pool is a health club with an amazing gym full of state of the art equipment to help get you “pool ready!”
The hotel also offers a business center if you need a quiet place to catch up on emails and it does have access to copy machines, a shipping center and computers… so no worries if you forgot anything! There is also a fun bar on the main floor where you can hang out and get a cocktail after dinner and socialize! I did get the chance to hang out with everyone in the bar one night and I had a blast and the best glass of cabernet I have had to date! Needless to say, anything and everything you could want or desire, is offered here!
Not only is the facility superb, the SERVICE is exceptional! Every person we spoke with at the hotel went above and beyond to make us feel special and helped in every way they could! The hotel offers valet parking and all of the bell hops were INCREDIBLE and very efficient! Service is so important when you go on vacation and I rate The Belmond with a definite 10 on theirs! I truly felt special and it was all thanks to the amazing and caring staff of the hotel, so “Thank You BELMOND!”
The rooms at the Belmond are impeccable! Our group stayed in a Club Level Suite so we could all hang out and go from room to room. If you all go with a group, these are the rooms for you! The Club Level King & Double Bed Rooms are located on the 7th floor of the Belmond and they feature the BEST view of the Charleston skyline (pictured above)! Our room had a small kitchen with Keurig (I have to have my coffee 😉 ) and a massive living area to lounge in! The Club level also offers complimentary all-day food and beverage including breakfast, afternoon tea, hors d’oeurves and a FULL BAR, followed by nightly desserts (as seen below). In case you missed the most important amenity I will mention it again…. this level offers a FULL BAR, that’s reason enough to stay on the Club Level. We all definitely enjoyed some rose and champagne on our stay along with a little, “pick me up” sweet treat in the afternoon!
Can we just take a second on how big and plush this bed is (pictured below)?!?!?!? This was the King bed in the King room of our suite and all four of us fit perfectly on the bed! You all…. those sheets and pillows were wonderful and so dreamy! We did have a quick jump on the bed just to test out the “bounce factor” (that’s a thing, right?!?!) and I can report that it was “EXTRA BOUNCY!”
Now LADIES, let’s get to the most important part of any hotel room, THE BATHROOM! When I get to a hotel, that is the first place I run to check out! I don’t know if it is the makeup buff in me or not, but the tools I have for a bathroom rarely fit on the tiny sink I have and I LOVE a big spacious “workstation.” I mean after all, this is where the MAGIC takes place hahahah (but really 😉 ). I was honestly gasping when I saw this massive beautifully marbled bathroom, just for us! I felt like a QUEEN in my bath robe with my sleek counter tops! As you can see, we all four of us had plenty of room to spread out, hang our clothes and lounge in the comfy hotel robes. Each bathroom also had one of the greatest features, a magnifying mirror, for those hard to see places or for putting on eyelashes! The shower was also super spacious and luxurious! I seriously wanted to pick this bathroom up and bring it home with me, I was SOOO in LOVE!
I could seriously rave on and on about this hotel because it is literally perfect in EVERY WAY! The Belmond Charleston Place rates off the charts on performance, facility and exceptional SERVICE and is a MUST STAY while in Charleston!! Keep up the amazing work Belmond Charleston Place, you have me as a customer for LIFE!
This hotel is gorgeous! Last time I was in Charleston we stopped in for a cocktail but might need to stay there next time! Thanks for sharing, looked like so much fun!
