It’s officially vest season! Here in NC we have cool mornings, warm days and then cool nights so layered is a MUST! There’s nothing I love more than a pair of skinnies, booties, t-shirt and a statement vest! Walking through Target last week I stumbled upon this faux shearling vest and immediately knew I had to have it and the price is on point at $28! YAYAYAYAYA for Target and all of their affordable fashion!
These jeans are my absolute go to skinny! They are the Seven For All Mankind Star Shadows blue jeans and they fit like a glove! These jeans have the perfect amount of stretch and they mold to my body shape perfectly! It’s so hard for me to find a pair of jeans that fits my calf muscles, but these do! I also love that they are not too long and they fit perfectly around the ankle, which is so ideal with booties! These jeans also make tucking them into taller boots easy because they are close to the leg and don’t flare at the bottom!
These booties!!! All I can say is ISOLA “Eppie”! These booties are part suede and leather and they have the most darling gold buckle on them! They are so comfortable and are at a great price point for the way they are made! I went to a job fair and stood for over four hours in these booties and had no pain! These boots have a padded cushion in the front of the shoe which helps alleviate pressure… If you have been searching for a neutral bootie, these ARE IT!
“We Rise by Lifting Others!”
I paired this Fall outfit with an Akola Beads necklace! If you are unfamiliar with the Akola project you can read about it here! In a few words the Akola project created by, Brittany Merrill, has helped many women in Uganda have a life that they could never have dreamed of. Brittany went to Uganda and met the women and children living in poverty and she knew she had to do something to help! Brittany along with a team have helped house, feed and clothe over 2,750 women and children in extreme poverty in Uganda. Brittany started a jewelry line called, “Akola” which in Uganda means, “she works.” This program has employed over 250 women and given them the ability to provide for their families! Each necklace is made of hand rolled paper and comes in many colors! If you don’t buy anything else, buy this necklace to help support the ladies in Uganda!
