“For what it’s worth: It’s never too late to be whoever you want to be, I hope you live a life you’re proud of, and if you’re not, I hope you find the strength to start over.” -F. Scott Fitzgerald
Happy New Years Eve!! I seriously can’t believe that today is New Years Eve 2015, it feels like just yesterday we were ringing in the New Year and now 2016 is HERE! Every year I like to look back and see what I have done and how far I have come. This year I started this amazing journey of blogging and it has truly been amazing! This journey would not have been possible without a few people that I would like to “thank.” I would like to start off by saying a huge, “Thank You,” to my husband who has had to be with me every night that something, “went wrong” or dealing with the, “behind the scenes” moments creating the perfect shot (and believe me it can be VERY amusing at times 😉 )!” My sister, Anna (a.k.a my photographer), who really pushed me and helped me believe in myself and in what I had to say. My dear friend and neighbor, Wendy Callaghan from blog, “This is the Life I Have Chosen,” who walked me through setting up my blog and also has been one of my biggest and sweetest supporters! To my mom, who is also one of my main photographers and who has always told me to, “Dream Big,” “Follow Your Heart” and “Don’t Lose Sight of Yourself and God!” I would also like to, Thank ALL of YOU! I am truly humbled by all of your love and support! I have met numerous amazing and sweet bloggers (too many amazing/inspirational ladies to mention) and I am so grateful and thankful to call you all, Friends! There are so many days I wake up and wonder if what I have to say matters and then I get encouraging supportive words from YOU and it keeps me going!
Looking into the past allows time to reflect on what was and helps us to make plans for the future. This past week I have really reflected on the past three months of blogging and I have learned a TON! The one piece of advice I can give to anyone who has a DREAM, is Don’t Wait Until You Think Everything is PERFECT, you have to start somewhere so start HERE and NOW! Every new chapter is a time to learn and grow. Mistakes are the building blocks of Growth! If you aren’t constantly evolving or changing then you aren’t moving forward.
I had debated giving you all my list of resolutions, but instead thought you may want to take a little behind the scenes tour of all those amazing filtered Instagram pictures and see the ones that didn’t quite make the blog or Instagram 🙂 So here are just a FEW of the MANY embarrassing moments:
Caption: The battle of sunglasses and trying to get the perfect spinning shot
Caption: Let me spin my hair and you just snap pictures, I’m sure there will be one good one out of the 20 you take
Caption: Anna, your shadow is in the picture, am I pulling off the boho look?!
Caption: Hurry, we have been spotted, but did you get a good one?
Caption: MMMM… these fake flowers smell amazing!
Caption: It would look so serene if I was standing barefoot in my fountain!
Trust me, these are just a few!! I honestly laugh and shake my head at most of these crazy moments, “behind the blog!” I debated whether or not to share some of these, but then I thought that the world is so bombarded with everyone trying to appear, “perfect” and always amazing that I needed to share a little bit of reality. The truth is, we are all the same taking life one day at the time and every moment of every day is not, “picture perfect” and to be honest, I don’t want it to be! Some of the best moments in life are those that are never captured on an iPhone or a camera, but they are the ones when you are being yourself and spending time with those you love, just being YOU. I guess what I’m trying to say is, enjoy life and don’t take yourself too seriously! No one is Perfect, but be YOU, no matter what that looks like!
I’m so hopeful for 2016 and the possibility that a New Year holds and what’s in store for, “Make Today a Hollyday!” I love having a, “clean slate” to start fresh and organized (hopefully the organizational aspect will continue 😉 )! I wish you all a very Happy New Years Eve 2015 and a Fabulous 2016! I hope that whatever your Dreams are for the New Year that you have the strength to achieve them! I’m so thankful and love you ALL! Lets make 2016 a year to remember!
Here are the roundup of some of my favorite outfits from the year to shop:

I love these bloopers and the advice you gave. I hesitated starting a blog for so long, but I’m glad I did. There’s a learning curve, but meeting friends like you make all the hiccups worth it!
