Velvet… As a child I only thought of those old sofa’s everyones grandmother had in that room we were not allowed to be in (am I right?!?!?) In my twenties velvet has a WHOLE NEW MEANING! This Fall and Winter Velvet is making a come back strong and this off the shoulder marine blue that Donna Morgan designed is nothing short of PERFECTION! This dress is not only lined and super comfortable, but can we say SASSY! I love how Donna Morgan continued the off-the-shoulder trend from this Spring and Summer into Fall to have a perfect transition piece for now while the weather is still warm and then also perfect for cocktail parties with a little glitz and tights later! I have been trying to figure out how to transition my closet for Fall which isn’t quite here, but is all around us thanks to Starbucks and their new Fall Pumpkin Spice menu!
I paired my velvet dress with the Steve Madden Slither pump that I wear ALL the time because it is so comfortable! This heel stretched and lets your foot fit comfortably and does not squeeze it too tight. I also wanted to add a little more spice so I added my Vince Camuto ‘Abril’ leopard bag that just went on 50% off sale (not sure how long the will last but grab this bag NOW)! I am also sporting a lace choker I got in California, but have linked a similar one here.
