Happy Tuesday ya’ll! Today I am headed out and about furniture shopping! My husband and I have been doing some renovations to our home and are looking for a large, comfy and affordable sofa! One tip I can offer anyone redoing their home: BUY FURNITURE FOR COMFORT, NOT JUST LOOKS! In the ideal world furniture would be both beautiful and comfy and on the rare occasion you find both: GET IT! With that said I always start my furniture search in Raleigh at GreenFront Rugs & Interiors on Capital Blvd.  If any of you are local and looking for furniture; check them out because they are practically the only place left you can buy off the floor! If any of you have any suggestions I am totally open to them as well!!

On to today’s blog post which is about transitional pieces! Is is just me or is February after Valentine’s Day just a sort of fashion slump time? It’s before March when the warm weather starts to arrive and after all the holiday’s and I am sort of in a fashion slump! I can say that a part from the amazing sales, I am investing in transitional pieces! Today I wanted to share this one shoulder top that will be amazing with jean shorts soon, but is also amazing with my ripped denim! Here in NC we have had unseasonably warm temps (it was 80 degrees this past weekend) so that messes with my emotions, closet and sinuses (in that order 🙂 )! This is the Lover’s & Friends Flip Top and I am pretty much obsessed! I love that it’s one shoulder (HUGE this SPRING), stripes (up and down so you look leaner) and has button detailing on the sleeve!  This top encompasses so many amazing trends in one look! I paired it with the distressed jeans you all are probably sick of me posting, the Blank NYC (happy tears) jean!  You know you are over-wearing something if your husband makes mention of it! He pretty much knows when I run outside to go to dinner in the evenings I will be sporting these jeans, I mean when you love something you love it; AM I RIGHT?!?!

I finished off this simple effortless look with my new Kendra Scott Maisy Drop Earrings in Rose Gold.  These earrings are going to go with practically everything in Spring! They have a hint of pink and the rose gold compliments them so well! My heels are the Steve Madden Carrson Heel that I wear ALL THE TIME! These heels are so comfy because of the block heel and they are my go-to! They come in so many colors and patterns and at a price point under $100 they are a closet STAPLE going into Spring!
