This morning I was doing my daily devotion from my Jesus Calling devotional and the words seemed to leap right off of the page and touched me in a way I wanted to share! It was not a verse I had never heard, but it was a verse I needed to hear and one that just CLICKED! The devotion was the idea that Hope is what keeps our head and hearts high as we face hard times or trials and that the realization that ultimately at the end of that rope is everlasting life with Jesus Christ in Heaven. I believe also that on that rope of Hope it also allows us to weather smaller trials as we are here on this earth. I have learned that we all face daily trials as human beings in this world of sin, but we can have HOPE through each one that Jesus Christ never leaves our side in our hardest moments. A verse from the devotion today really stuck out to me:
Romans 12:12 “Be Joyful in HOPE, PATIENT in affliction, FAITHFUL in prayer.”
Wow, how awesome is this and at the same time how HARD it this! It’s so easy as humans to get consumed in ourselves during a trial, throw a pity party for one and end up in a state of isolation, but that is not what God wants for our lives! During these moments He wants us to draw closer to Him! Everyone is facing a battle of some sort and it’s so important to remember this daily as we deal with one another. Be Kind and pray for those around you for everyone is facing a battle you know nothing about, but have FAITH that Jesus Christ will NEVER LEAVE nor FORSAKE YOU and for that I am certain! I know lots of you have probably read or remember the famous poem:
Footprints in the Sand
One night I dreamed a dream.
As I was walking along the beach with my Lord.
Across the dark sky flashed scenes from my life.
For each scene, I noticed two sets of footprints in the sand,
One belonging to me and one to my Lord.
After the last scene of my life flashed before me,
I looked back at the footprints in the sand.
I noticed that at many times along the path of my life,
especially at the very lowest and saddest times,
there was only one set of footprints.
This really troubled me, so I asked the Lord about it.
“Lord, you said once I decided to follow you,
You’d walk with me all the way.
But I noticed that during the saddest and most troublesome times of my life,
there was only one set of footprints.
I don’t understand why, when I needed You the most, You would leave me.”
He whispered, “My precious child, I love you and will never leave you
Never, ever, during your trials and testings.
When you saw only one set of footprints,
It was then that I carried you.”

This poem was one I read so many times as a child and I understood, but I never truly GOT until I got older! I wanted to take a moment today just to say that whatever you are facing; whether it be small or big give it to God because He is the ultimate HEALER and PROTECTOR! In this era of social media where everyones lives and photos seem picture perfect there is so much more to life and this is something I struggle with daily as well with a business that is based around social media! Lets be the Light in someone else’s life today! I hope you all have a fantastic Wednesday and ‘thank you’ for letting me share a personal post today that I hope will also touch one of YOU! Love you guys!
