Happy rainy Monday everyone! Today I have been racking my brain for a fun blog post topic, so I decided on LIPSTICKS!!! I am a makeup/lipstick JUNKIE; it’s a serious problem (sorry babe 😉 ) The perk to my obsession is I can share with you all swatches of some of my favorites so you can see them on skin before you purchase! So today I have ‘swatched’ some of my all time favorite Fall shades on my arm and I am going to link them in order of the photo! I am starting with the lighter tones and working to the darker ones! Also, I am going to be showing all of them individually on my Instastory so you can see them! I hope you enjoy and let me know your favs!!
MAC Faux Lipstick – My ALL TIME EVERYDAY GO-TO! I pair with ‘Whirl’ lip liner and get questions all the time about this color, for me and most women it’s close to the ‘PERFECT NUDE!’ I top with Buxom lipgloss ‘Anna’
MAC Velvet Teddy – a matte nude (great with ‘Stripdown’ lip liner)
MAC Whirl – this one is a MUST HAVE I wear it all Fall! I mix with the ‘Whirl’ Lip liner
Kat Von D Lolita – this is BOMB! It sells out every year so grab your now! I do like to pair a primer with this one before I apply because it can be a little drying, but it lasts for hours!
Bobbi Brown Creamy Matte Crushed Plum – This is a great nourishing sheer lipstick that gives you the plum effect without going too dark! Perfect for someone who likes lighter lips, but wants to try a little color for Fall
MAC ‘Flat Out Fabulous’ – The name of this color says it ALL! I wear it in Fall for a step away from the deep plums and reds and get questions EVERY SINGLE TIME! It’s the perfect electric pink with blue undertones and looks great on all skin tones because of the cool undertones! This color was introduced to me in Las Vegas when my sister had her makeup done by a celebrity makeup artist and all the women in my family bought it that day because it was so different! It can be worn lighter during the day, but I prefer to put on two coats and wear it MATTE with the MAC ‘Magenta’ Lip Liner for a WOW factor!
Marc Jacobs ‘Blow’ – One of my good friends was wearing this color and I seriously bought it THAT DAY because it is so smashing in person! It has more pigment for sure and is one that is more of a lipstick for a date night, but it’s a SASSY ONE and I love having it in my collection; a sort of ‘vampy’ red!
Tom Ford Dark & Stormy – I tracked this color down in Vegas 2 years ago and it is WORTH THE SPLURGE! This lipstick is nourishing and the color is the perfect crushed berry and elevates ANY Fall/Winter look!
Kat Von D Vampira – This color is INTENSE & BEAUTIFUL! I wear it for a night out when I want to feel extra edgy and it’s STUNNING! I will say, if you are scared of dee colors go with the Lolita, but if you want something for fun get this one!
