I wanted to share all of my current favorite items for you all in case you wanted to ‘spruce’ up your Spring/Summer makeup routine! So here are ALL my favs broken down!
Beauty Blender: I still apply all foundation and cream contour with my damp beauty blender! I have tried a few similar products and to me, the Beauty Blender is STILL THE BEST!
Primer: Yves Saint Laurent Touche Eclat Primer – this stuff is a DREAM and makes my pores disappear! Lasts for at least 6 months so it’s worth the money!
Brightening Primer: Becca Backlight Primer! This ‘radiant finish’ primer mixed with the YSL primer (above) or alone make the skin appear to have that ‘J-Lo effect’ a dewy complexion which I love during the day!
Foundation: Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation ( I am color DAWN!) This foundation is FULL coverage, is a liquid that sets as a powder and leaves my skin FLAWLESS ALL DAY! I am slightly obsessed!
CREAM CONTOUR STICK: HOOLA Cream-To-Powder Quickie Contour Stick – THIS is my favorite NEWEST product that I am obsessed with! I searched for a cream contour stick for years and my friend Gaby told me about this one and I’m in LOVE! It only comes in one color and I draw a line from the top of my ear towards my mouth after I apply foundation (before any powder) and blend out with the side of a damp beauty blender and it creates the best contour line!
Setting Powder: Laura Mercier Translucent Powder– THIS powder is my ‘go-to’ powder to set all of my foundation and contour! I have been using this powder for 3 years now and there is no comparison to any that I have ever tried! It lasts FOREVER and it sets without leaving a ‘chalky’ finish!! This is a must have for any woman who wears minimal or a lot of makeup; it blurs fine lines and stays put!
Blush: NARS – color ORGASM is such a pretty color for spring and summer! This is the only blush that I have found that I love the ‘glitter’ effect in because it’s not too much and not too little! This color light pink/goldish is PERFECT for any skin tone and gives your skin a ‘sunkissed’ look without overdoing the pink!
Highlighter: Becca Cosmetics Champagne Pop – I mentioned this in my very first blog post in 2015 and I still use it every day! It is my ‘holy-grail’ for highlighter! I have people every week say, ‘You are GLOWING’ and this is the reason! I like to apply it with a damp blush brush and it really ‘POPS’ the highlight!
Eyeshadow Palettes:
- Urban Decay Naked Heat – THIS is STILL one of my favorite palette’s ever! I use it DAILY! I love the soft browns and the little more burnt oranges to create effect!
- Anastasia Modern Renaissance Palette – This palette I use on practically every bride I do makeup for because it has the soft brown tones a few light gold shimmers and light pink undertones! I love using these shimmer shadows on my lid with a slightly damp brush to make the glitter ‘pop!’
Eyeshadow: Stila Glitter & Go Liquid Paint on Eyeshadow – This product I have mentioned a few times in stories and it is the easiest, fastest, ‘fool-proof’ way to apply an all day wear glitter shadow to your lid! Just paint it on and it dries in seconds and your done! You can wear it alone or mixed with other shadows!
Mascara: Diorshow Iconic Overcurl – This is my favorite wand to help separate lashes and also lengthen! This has been my go-to mascara for a year and it is the one my mom also loves and uses daily!
Eyebrows: Anastasia Brow Definer – This is the best formula and most natural looking finish I have tried for filling in my brows! I love the definer because the product is angled for precision! I use the color medium brown!
Brow Gel: Anastasia Clear Brow Gel: This gel is clear and helps keep the product and shape I achieved with the definer in place all day!
SKINCARE:
Undereye patches: Peter Thomas Roth 24K Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Hydra-Gel Patches – these babies WORK LIKE A DREAM!!! Being pregnant this is the first time I have ever had dark circles in the morning! I have photoshoots typically in the early am and don’t want to look HAGGGARD so I throw these on for 15 minutes while I’m having breakfast and ‘VOILA’ bye-bye dark circles and any creases I had from sleeping on my side! These are expensive pathches, but I have found they WORK so I am willing to SPLURGE on these little ‘gold-mines.’ Also, if you want to feel extra good store them in the fridge so they are cooling when you apply them!
Self Tanner: St. Tropez Classic Tan Bronzing Lotion – This lotion is a DREAM! It is a pricier self-tanner, but its streak free, dries extremely fast, all natural and lasts for DAYS! This is hands down my favorite self-tanner! It also comes in a MOUSSE version HERE that I have heard is incredible if you prefer a mousse over a lotion!
HAIR CARE:
Bumble & Bumble Dryspun Thickening Spray – this spray was introduced to me by my sister 2 years ago and I will not let myself run out now! I am OBSESSED! I have a lot of FINE hair and she has a lot of thick hair and we both LOVE it! I use it to create that ‘grit’ at the roots before I tease and curl to give me that ‘lift’ and ‘volume’ that I don’t naturally have (Especially on the days I wash my hair). This product makes my hair look more ‘piecey’ and ‘full’ and I LOVE IT!
T3 Cura Hair Dryer – This dryer is EVERYTHING! I am obsessed wth the mutiple fan speeds the speed it dries without ANY FRIZZ! I used to be sooo skeptical about spending money on hairdryers, but this one is WORTH EVERY CENT!
T3 Twirl Trio Curling Iron – Amazing curling iron with 3 different size barrels! I love everything T3 including their amazing curling iron that has interchangeable barrels! I typically use the 1′ barrel for my curls and then let it fall and wear it Day 2 ‘beachy waved!’
T3 Singlepass Straightener – Shocker, but T3 also kills the straightener game! I went from a Chi to this one and have never looked back!
