Happy Monday everyone!!! I hope you all had the best weekend! We got to go to a sweet friend, Addie Griffins, wedding and had a wonderful Thanksgiving service at our church yesterday! Brayden has been staying up during the night recently and it has been tough making it through each day without a nap! Everyone told me to ‘sleep while I could’ and now I get it hahaha Either way, he’s totally worth it and MAYBE one day I will sleep again 🙂
Today I wanted to share my HOLY GRAIL wardrobe STAPLES and they are my Spanx leggings! I am not going to lie, I was NOT originally on the Spanx legging bandwagon, but let me explain… Last Fall I tried on my first pair of Spanx leggings when I was 8 weeks pregnant. Of course as that time, I was not showing, but I was paranoid about wearing anything ‘too tight!’ These leggings definitely hold you in and up which is what they are supposed to do, but I didn’t want anything holding me tight so I opted for the Commando leggings, which fit a little looser, but still gave that fitted appearance and these are still some of my favorites!
Fast forward to about 2 months ago, I decided to give the Spanx a ‘second-go’ and I am officially on the bandwagon and understand the obsession! I officially loved them so much I have splurged for 2 pair! If there is one staple you splurge on this year, MAKE IT THESE!!!These also would be a GREAT CHRISTMAS GIFT for any woman on your list or for yourself (love, Santa am I right?!?!? ) I literally wear them 5 days a week at least! They are comfy, easy to make them casual or dressy and make your legs look sooo long and lean! After having Brayden my days REVOLVE around him so I actually weigh less than I did pre-baby, but it is different… I still have a little looser skin in my stomach area which I love to ‘hold in’ with these leggings! Pratically every time I wear these people tell me I look so thin, but I know it’s part of their miracle control top ability and I’m not being modest 😉 These leggings do run small! I ordered up a size to a size medium and wear a US4! I would say the medium is a 4/6 fit so I would assume the large would be an 8/10… These leggings DO NOT loose structure, shape or control top ability and that is why they are SPLURGE WORTHY! I have found that GREAT basics make dressing so much easier because they are dependable and ALWAYS look great!
The moto leggings are my favorite followed by the side stripe pair! The side stripe is such a trend this year on both jeans and leggings and since I love trendy pieces these were a MUST for me!
