Happy Thursday!! This week is ALL about Halloween! What I learned last year was that toddler and especially infant size costumes SELL OUT FAST! Last year Brayden was a couple of things, as he will be this year! I love to share inspiration so we will have a couple! If you have any mommy and son looks you love send them to me I would love to try it!
Brayden’s Look: Doggie Costume | Monogrammed Trick or Treat Bag
My Costume: Black Faux Fur Vest | Spanx Moto Leggings | Brinley Co. Bootie | Black Turtleneck | Cat Ears | Victoria Emerson Double Wrap on Safari Bracelet | I used a Victoria Emerson Double Wrap with Chain around my neck because it looked like a collar and it fit perfect!
I thought it would be fun to be a cat and Brayden be a puppy! Last year I loved these little costumes (like he is wearing) and this year he is so sweet because when he runs around in this costume he looks so much like a little puppy, I can’t stand it! Below are his sweet looks from last year (all of them are still in stock) and I miss this little bean sooo much!
I will start with how I created my look since there are more parts 🙂 My look was quite simple and I used pieces from my closet except for purchasing a new pair of ears from Amazon with glitter 🙂 I will try my best to film this makeup tutorial within the next week so stay tuned over on Instagram…. What I will say is that I used the NYX chubby eyeliner pencil to draw the whiskers and dots on my face and it was so easy and I did not have any skin irritation! I have sensitive skin so I like to use actual makeup when I create fun looks and not the cheaper face paint! I also used this same eyeliner pencil last year in white in the look above where I was the deer and it stayed amazing, I highly recommend having these pencils in your makeup arsenal! In my local Target there was a section over by the false eyelashes that Ardell had where they had three styles of Halloween lashes for $4 a pair and I used those! However, I can’t find them online so HERE is another set of my favorite lashes that I would use as well and they would give the pretty cat eye effect! As far as the rest of the makeup I used my Stila liquid paint on glitter on the lid in color KITTEN KARMA and then put some deeper charcoal tones above my crease in my eye from my Morphe pallette! My lipstick is one I love and wear daily in the Fall and its NARS liquid lipstick in color SOMEBODY to LOVE! I threw on some of my favorite Victoria Emerson bracelets, one double wrap around my neck with a chain that looked like my kitty collar and then another leopard one around my wrist! That was it 🙂
Brayden’s look was sweet and simple! He is wearing the 12- 24 month puppy costume! I did not have clothing on underneath the costume because it is very thick so I didn’t want him to overheat! I also got him this adorable monogrammed trick or treat bag and he love it so much! He carries it around the house every day! He honestly loved being in his costume, shockingly enough! Hopefully October 31st will actually be chilly this year!
Below, I have linked tons of fun Halloween costumes for you and lots of fun trick or treat bags that your kids can use from year to year! I hope you enjoyed this look as much as we did putting it together! What are you going to be for Halloween?!
