Happy Monday!! I hope you all had the BEST Fourth of July holiday! We are at the beach this week with family and enjoying time in the sun, water and just relaxing! Today I wanted to share a blog post on how I am getting my summer tan and glow! This has been my most asked for beauty post and I wanted to get it up just in time for the ‘dog days of summer!’
During the summer my family and I are in the sun a lot! We go to the lake and the beach since both are in very driveable distances from my home here in NC! I have always been a sun goddess and love to tan! As years and years of sun have taken a toll on my skin I have looked for other ways to have that ‘healthy’ glow without baking in the sun for hours every week! I love a self tanner! I have been using self tanners for years and I have tried some that I absolutely LOVE and others are MAJOR FAILS! Today I am sharing one of my favorite self tanning lotions and bronzers!
I have raved about the St. Tropez Classic Tan bronzing lotion from Nordstrom for a few years now! It will always be one of my favorites for ease of use and color! This tanner gives you a beautiful glow from the first time you use it, but it’s also one of those that you can build on and it doesn’t get cakey and flakey! This tanner is one that I always have and with the lotion formula you can see as you apply so you do not miss a spot!
Tips on applying self tanner: SHAVE first! Shaving always gives me a clean and more exfoliated surface and helps the tanner apply more evenly! Make sure elbows and ankles are moisturized because they tend to hold onto product more! Wash your hands when you are done if you do not use a mitt! Use a mitt for more even application!

I recently stumbled upon this amazing bronzer at Nordstrom called Supermodel Body Slimmer Shimmer Shape, Hydrate & Glow by Charlotte Tilbury! I am a MAJOR fan of all products Charlotte Tilbury so when I read this name of course I was intrigued so I got it and WOW! This product is amazing! This product dispenses on a roller ball and you run it on the center of all your limbs where the sun would naturally hit and BAMMM, a glow! The product has this beautiful bronze shimmer that will blend with any skin tone and when you are in the sun it draws your attention to the long parts of your limbs creating a long lean effect! I am currently 6 months pregnant and growing by the day and I needed something to help boost my body confidence on the beach (hello varicose veins) and this product makes me feel vibrant and beautiful!
I wore this product all weekend at the lake with my family and all the ladies in my family loved it! One quick tip: Apply the product like sunscreen and let it dry before applying clothing or swimsuit to avoid transfer! I honestly have never seen anything like this product and I highly recommend giving it a try!
I recently wanted to VAMP up my lip color game with a tone that would compliment my more bronzed glowy skin and add a little spice to my summer ensemble, so I went on a search at Nordstrom and found one! Coral tones are a little harder for me as I tend to go with more pinks/neutrals so I am PICKY when it comes to lip shades, but really wanted one for summer! I wanted a color that wasn’t too orange or too red, but a hydrating simple pop of color and ya’ll I found it, a super luxurious hydrating lipstick by Dior called Dior Addict Stellar Shine in the shade DIORCHARM! This shade is perfection and the formula glides on and is so moisturizing for summer temps! I have been getting lots of questions about it over the past week as I have been wearing it on IG stories!
