Be the Most Dazzling Version of Yourself!
This post is one that I am so honored to write and have you all read. This post is about the person who I know better than myself and who has been there for me since the beginning! She is my partner in crime and always there when I need someone to talk to; this post of course is about my little sister, Anna! My sister and I have always been inseparable, to the point we have been asked on multiple occasions if we were ‘twins,’ (although I’m like a foot taller hahaha). I attribute people asking us this, to the fact that we are so in sync with one another and we always know what the other is thinking without having to say a word! This post is not, however, just about how much I love her, but it’s actually a post highlighting her talents (that I’m so proud of).
My sister began painting as a Senior in high school and quickly realized her passion for art, fashion, design and all that they entail. She has done some amazing artwork in the past few years, but like anything, her style has evolved immensely. I am swooning over Anna’s new current abstract obsession; which is a combination of edge and sophistication! Can we just all stop and take a look at these amazing colors and that gold accent paint?!?!?! The entire setup is so breathtaking, I just can’t handle it!!

This past Thursday night, my mom, sister, sister in law and friend Danielle took a road trip to our friend, Anna Musselwhite Owen’s, new clothing boutique in Fayetteville: Monkees.

I have known Anna Owen for some time now and I have always been obsessed with her fashion sense and style; so a career in Fashion was perfect for her! Anna’s store stands out so much, not only in the amazing clothing that fills the racks, but because it embodies a sense of her personality! Anna wanted her store to be an extension of who she is and can I just say, it’s STUNNING! There was no detail left unrecognized or overlooked! Anna wanted to incorporate her college bestie, my sister, in her store by having some original oil paintings done to accent her decor! Anna and Anna (hahaha this could get confusing), with their keen eye of fashion and styling, collaborated on what they thought would look great in the space and these amazing abstracts were the result! You girls NAILED IT! Anna Owen, your store was beyond breathtaking and your hard work can not go unnoticed, congrats!
The night was filled with champagne, phenomenal food and of course, SHOPPING! There were so many things I wanted and of course I walked away with too many bags, full of goodies that will be in upcoming posts 😉 Thank you Kathryn (a.k.a ‘Kaki’) for all of your amazing help picking out my new favorite earrings and booties! The night was one for the books and I will be a life-long patron.
Since the event was in the evening, I opted to wear a sleek black jumpsuit! I purchased this jumpsuit last winter and it is the, BCBC Geo Jumpsuit , I have linked it along with a few other similar styles, but this jumpsuit is EVERYTHING TO ME! It is just the right amount of class and edge with the lace cutouts! I have worn this jumpsuit to multiple functions and it NEVER FAILS! I paired this look with the Tory Burch ‘Tames’ Wedge, but I have linked a few other heels I think would look amazing! I wore one of my favorite new lipsticks by Dior, ‘Diorific!’ This lipstick is the perfect crimson with a little sparkle! This lipstick is in a two-tone version: one side is a velvet matte finish while the other is the same shade with a little golden shimmer in it! So the way I see it, you have two lipsticks in one! This red will be your new FALL go-to!

Hey Holly! I love this post and I love your blog!! I live in Fayetteville and popped into Monkees during the grand opening and the girls were so sweet.
