Where to begin?
First of all, I wasn’t even sure this post would ever be published—it was sitting in my drafts. But this morning, I woke up with a fire in my soul for Jesus Christ and an overwhelming urge to say something and share my faith.
I’ve been in the influencer space for over 10 years—before it was trendy or profitable. It started as a creative outlet, a fun way to show a side of myself in fashion and makeup that didn’t come through in my 9-to-5 and I have absolutely loved it and am blown away daily by your constant love and support for me and my family. I will be forever grateful for this platform and for each of you, THANK YOU! Instagram began as an app that was solely based around fun curated photos and then became videos and ultimately daily sharing of my personal life and thoughts (I love connecting with each of you daily) but I truly never prepared myself for that change.
Through the years, I started working with more and more dream brands, and with that came pressure (in my head)—spoken or unspoken—to avoid certain topics.
I was raised in a home where Christ was always the center. I was taught to treat everyone with kindness, love, and compassion—just as Jesus did. These principles have stayed with me in life, and in this career/community that I didn’t even know I was building at the time.
My heart and soul are aching from everything going on in our world—and have been aching for years. I’ve stayed silent on many topics through the years not because I didn’t care but because I didn’t want things to become polarizing. I will be the first to say that I’m not an “expert” on all world issues. But after everything that has happened in just one week—the death of Irina Zarutska, the assassination of Charlie Kirk, another school shooting in Colorado, and so much more that never made national headlines—I can’t stay silent about my FAITH any longer.
The world is full of sin and hatred. But LIGHT drives out darkness. It’s that simple—and that powerful. Through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, we have HOPE & LIFE.
John 3:17 – “For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.”
I recently re-shared something from another account on Instagram that hit me hard: Our souls weren’t made to witness murders in real time and then scroll past them to an outfit reel or a funny skit. If you feel weary, overwhelmed, or like you don’t belong—you are not alone.
We were made for so much more.
Last night, I watched/witnessed Erika Kirk—wife, mother, and fellow believer—weep on national television over the death of her husband. To see a family torn apart, a father taken from his children, a mother left to try and explain where he is—it was gut-wrenching. And it woke something up in me.
God is real. Jesus is real. And we’re not just passing through this life to believe quietly—we’re here to tell others about Him.
John 15:18-19
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first. If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, so it hates you.”
I can’t comprehend how a young woman can be stabbed/murdered on a bus for no reason. Or how someone could be killed simply for their beliefs. Or how innocent children can be murdered at school. But all of these unimaginable horrors have one thing in common: sin.
And yet—here’s the Good News:
God loves us. Every single one of us. And He will forgive us if we turn to Him.
Silence doesn’t mean you don’t care. I’ve spent this past week especially in prayer, reading Scripture, and being present with my family. But today, I felt led to speak up—especially for anyone who may not know Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
John 3:16 – “For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
If you’re searching for peace, purpose, or truth—Jesus is waiting with open arms.
Thank you for giving me the space to share what’s on my heart.
With love,
Holly Boyd
